In our recent sermon at Antioch Warrior Outreach Center, titled "The Believers Leadership Edge," we explored the extraordinary call each of us has as children of God to lead in our communities. Leadership is not reserved for the chosen few; it's a mantle every believer can wear. With faith as our foundation, we are empowered to influence others and make a significant impact in a world that desperately needs hope and direction.
Scripture reminds us in 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV), "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession..." This verse encapsulates our identity and purpose. We are lifted by our belief and chosen for a mission greater than ourselves. Our leadership is not dependent on our titles or positions but rooted in our ability to connect with others through love, understanding, and the power of the Gospel.
As we embrace this leadership edge, we must remember that courage comes from God. The more we trust in His plan, the more equipped we become to guide others towards His light. By embodying the principles of servant leadership, we mirror Christ’s example, leading not by force but by service and humility, encouraging and uplifting those around us in their own journeys of faith.
